Where to start...oh where to start. Well let's just start at Horse Shoe Bay and if you have never been there, it is a must go destination in Texas if you love the Hill Country and Water sports tied together. Just be careful where you eat.
We ended up in Marble Falls this time around due to a soccer game for my son. When deciding to head out to a team dinner, a local parent on the opposing team heavily recommended the Blue Bonnet Cafe.
After arriving at the Blue Bonnet cafe and being stuffed in the hall way like sardines for 20 or so minutes, we were finally led to our table in the back where we were greeted by our unfriendly waitress. After being careful not to step on her toes and ask too much of her, I had to get my own waters and silverware myself. Every time she came to the table is was heavy breathing and as if we were bothering her.
Now I can put up with crappy service, but what I can not put up with is hair in my food...yes that is right, I said HAIR in my food. I ordered a simple plate of 2 eggs, 2 bacon and 2 french toast and I received a whole lot more than that.
After cutting into my over medium eggs, I was kind of surprised to see a long, thick hair coiled up under my eggs. After looking a little more closely at everything else in my eggs, I noticed not one, not two, not three...but multiple 1 inch hairs all in my eggs.
It was as if someone cut their hair over my plate while cooking it or perhaps the cooks were shaving each others backs over the grill. After informing the waitress, she simply looked at my plate and took it away.
She then returned a couple minutes later to offer me a free piece of pie in its place. Whoop-dee-doo!
Never again shall I return!
